It is a Major element in the Growth and health of all Stony corals, the Fact that the Mother Colony does not yet look bad only preceeds it's ultimate demise if left un corrected. Corals can survive in low Ca but will not Grow and Thrive which is what we all strive for, No!
You can bump it up with the Ca part of 2 Part if you have some, What type salt do you use? If it's Instant Ocean you need to suplement Ca from the start when you mix your water as even the New IO is still low IMO

BulkReefSupply is the way to go for 2 part. Easy to mix up and then setup a BRS doser pump or add to ATO which takes more monitoring until you figure out your usage. If you add more SPS or LPS your usage will change so alwasy keep an eye on it every so oftern.

I run my SG at 1.025 and my Ca is 420-440. Dkh I run around 9-11.

That is a major difference from instant ocean (marine aquaria) to reef crystals......rc have the added supplements in the mix, you only have to supplement what your corals/critters use.

I didn't even notice the low Salinity the first time i read the post! That is too low for SPS also, It needs to be around 1.025-1.026 IMO for them to stay healthy.
Fish can live and do better disease wise in lower salinity but SPS need the higher salinity for it to thrive, Most Reefs in the World average 1.026-1.027 actually but staying on the top end leaves no room for error.

I usually stay 1.025-1.026. I have to work the kinks out of my Kalk reactor dosing as i think this is what drove the SG down.

I was not able to find any Ca locally so I am looking at ordering some online. Would seachem reef advantage calcuim with mag and potassium be better for occasional adjustment or would BRS CaCl?

I did find an old (10yrs) bottle of reef calcium with parcipatate chuncks in the bottom in the basement. Does anyone know for sure if Ca goes old?

I think the poor PE was due to bacterial bloom depleting O2 from water. I am getting to the end of the bloom as evidence by the basketball sized foam head. The good news is my PO4 is 9ppb
