Pop quiz; BTA or Clowns first?

Starting-up a new tank after a couple of years off. Had prior and good experiences with nem's and clowns in the past. My thought is to add a BTA first, let it roam, find a spot and settle in and then add a pair of clowns. Sound reasonable? Also, appreciate any thoughts on how many months of stabilized chemistry before adding a BTA?

6mo min for nems usually, and ideally it would be best to match anemone type to natural match of clown species, hosting happens much faster usually that way.

Agreed, I think prior experience plays a role too though. If you have a lot of experience in the hobby and with nems 6mo should be plenty. If your new and it's your first tank then I'd say a year. Gives you time to learn and gain more hands on experience.

I would add the nem first and let it get settled and happy before adding clowns. Some can be rather rough with anemones and that's not good for a newly added nem. Maroons in particular are notorious for loving there host to death.
