brought home a porcelain crab and it immediately took to the bta (also new). The crab is about 1/4 the size of the bta -- rather big ratio IMO -- and perhaps because of this, the bta doesn't seem to want to fully expand nor does it seem to be actively grabbing and keeping the mysis I blow across it. Also have two ocellaris clowns that have displayed some curiosity toward the bta (swimming around it and sorta' sniffing it out) but the crab doesn't allow them to get anywhere near it, posturing and snapping its claws. Wondering what people's experience has been with porcelain crabs nesting in a bta. Doesn't seem to be a mutually beneficial affair.

Normally not a problem having them IME or from anything I've read.
Never heard of them snapping claws at anything.
My maroon was SUPER defensive/territorial, and I thought for sure she'd make a quick snack of it, but she never even really payed attn to it, so I'm sure she saw something possitive from it, cause let me tell you, if I put any coral/rock near her nem it would surely be moved or broken if she couldn't move it.
