Porcelain Crabs W/ Out anemone

Can a pair of porcelain crabs be kept without a host anemone? i am planning a seahorse and pipefish tank so i cant have any cnidarians, but love these little beauties. Do they absolutely need a host anemone to survive is my main question? Also what is the best kind of filter feeder food for them?

Which kind do you want? The white ones or the blue/red/purple ones? The blue ones don't host in an anemone. Personally, I think that they look better.

You'll have to be a bit more specific than "porcelain" crab. Which genus are you interested in?
