Poseidon PS4 Pump

I would like to hear from you if you are or have run a Poseidon Pump.
I have my PS4 hooked up to my closed loop system and from day one (Nov 2006) it has pumped out micro bubbles. I've checked all the fittings and everything is secure. Today I decided to pull the pump off to check the O-ring, it seemed a little loose, I have a new O-ring coming. It's common for my tank temp. to reach 80-81 with fans on and a chiller. Since I've removed the pump I've noticed my water temp hasn't exceeded 78.
Has anyone experienced micro bubbles and/or increased heat (2-3 degrees) using a Poseion pump.

I have two T2's, on two different takes. I have noticed at temp increase, but nothing that a clip on fan can't fix. And that extra heat comes in handy during a Chicago winter.

As for the microbubbles, the only time I noticed some was do to a very small leak in my PVC - I could only notice the leak when the pump was off, a very small, and slow, drip was coming from on of my pipes. It couldn't be noticed when the pump was on - is was before the pump, so air was being sucked it.
 
Did you notice a 2-3 degree increase in temp? I have two canopy fans, one sucking outside air in and the other blowing hot air out. I was told I may have a very small leak in the plumbing causing the pump to suck air but when I turn the pump off I can't see any leaks!!
 
To be honest, I don't think it was that much. But, these are the smaller pumps. My MH lights added more heat.

How long did you leave the pump off while looking for the leaks, I had to leave mine off for about 20 minutes before I saw anything. In fact after an hour the "puddle" was only about the size of a dime, but the microbubbles were insane.
 
I have run a poseidon pump for 2 years now. I have noticed the following:

It will rasie my temp by 1 - 2 degrees (I have a 75G Display and 20G Sump)

It generates microbubbles in both of the following situations:

My Intake was the same as my output (1" both). I chocked down my outlet to 3/4" and eliminated the microbubbles... until

Some small amounts of Macro got sucked into the inlet. I had to take the front housing off and clean out the Circular wotaer diverter inside there. CLeaned it out, kept the outlet chocked down to 3/4... voila.. no micros.

my 2 cents worth.
 
I removed the pump this morning to clean it and install a new o-ring, no drips or any sign of moisture around the plumbing.
When I put the pump back on I will adjust the ball valve on the output side of the pump like you said and see what happens.

I am guessing that he just used a reducing PVC pipe. One think I noticed with me, which has a 1/2" output, when I change all the piping to 1' I had a big increase in the output flow.
 
Toddrtrex is correct.. just used a 1" to 3/4" bushing off the output and then continued with 3/4" pipe from there. I had also done this so that I could split off with a T. Therefore I had 1" in.. 2 x 3/4" out.
