position question for MPs

Hi,

I've always wondered... I have my MP10 on 'Nutrient Export' setting, I have a BioCube, with overflow on the left back wall. My MP10 is placed on the right side wall, so the adjacent wall, opposite side, to the overflow. I've wondered if I'm placing the MP10 on the correct side of the tank to actually properly utilize the Nutrient Export setting? Should it be on the same side as the overflow? Is it "pulling" or "pushing" detritus into the water column?

Mazzy,

It is best to put the pump in an area where it can provide unobstructed flow. With that said, it's not a bad idea to experiment with position until you find what works best for your aquarium.
