I am planning a new 225g glass tank (72x24x30) with a reef system and am trying to figure out how to manage the flow. I am planning on getting 2 tunze stream 6,000's to push a total of 2,700 gph or 12x turnover and the rest will be handled through the refugium.
This tank will be enclosed on three sides so I would like to hide the 6000's on the back wall (say 18" from in from the back corners) pointed toward the front wall with overflows in the back corners. Would this work or do I need to position each 6,000 on the end of the tank so they have all 6' to push through?
How wide is the area of coverage of the 6000? (Just wondering if I will have dead areas around the 6000)
