Positioning Two 6055's

I just picked up two 6055's for my 120. I just wondering what the opinions are on where to put them. My rock work is center as well.

Right now I have them on the right and left BACK of the tank with a center overflow.

They seem like they're really circulating the water, I guess that fine right?

Hello WaterssretaW, as far as the placement on your Tunze 6055, you have to play around with it to get the flow and setting that will work best for your application. If you don't notice any dead spot, you should be good. But i do recommend using Interval II on your 7095 controller. If you want to get more powerful flow, pulse mode is another option.

It seems like getting every dead spot behind the rock is impossiable. In front of the rock is getting good flow. what do you think?

IMO, with 2 Nano Stream 6055 @ 1453gph, 2906 gph total will be hard to hit every crack and crannies. It is also depend on what you are keeping in the tank, how open is your aquascape. If your tank is SPS dominate, you will need more flow. If you want to have flow throughout the tank, i recommend 2 more 6055.

(2) 6055's on a 120 may not be enough. I am replacing (2) modded 6025's on my 90 gal this week with (2) 6055's but I run a Vortech for my primary flow. I am mainly replacing these for the controllability.
