Possible ICH and tail rot?

So I made another noob mistake. I did too many things at once. I added 4 snails, did a water change, and added a bag of charcoal to my HOB on the same day. A few minutes after the water change, I noticed white spots all over my clowns and one of them started to act weird. He would swim face forward into my circulation pump and start nipping at my hermit crabs. I tried pulling them out to get into QT but they were just too active to catch so I was going to wait till morning while they slept in the corner to catch them. Well, the next morning I noticed all the white spots gone, but they were still a bit bumpy. Also, one of their tails were starting to disappear like it's been eaten. The fins look fine, it's just the tail.

I got them into QT and before I medicate with anything I want to find out what they have. Unfortunately I was unable to get any pictures. The white spots were very fine and they were all over the body. Now the white spots are gone but they still look like they have bumps. And on one of them the tail is almost completely gone.

Also, does leaving the DT fallow mean taking out all inverts and corals? Or will ICH go through it's cycle with them in there if it is ICH?

My understanding is that ICH needs a fish host. You can leave the inverts and the coral in the DT.

fallow=fishless, inverts and corals are fine to leave in the tank.

It is difficult to say if it is ich or not. You could run the fishes through Tank Transfer Method (TTM) to be on the safe side. Same with the tail as well, is it possible the clowns are becoming sexually mature and establishing the pecking order?

I'm not so sure it's that. The one that is losing its tail is the more aggressive one and I was sure was going to end up being the female

Check your water parameters: they should match what's in my sig line. When that many ailments turn up at once, water may also be at issue.

The only thing I know would be a problem is my nitrates. Before the water change API said it was at 160+. After it was at 80. I just got a salifert test last night, I'll see what that says. I also forgot to mention that brown algae had come in but would that cause this?

Salifert test says my nitrate is between 50 and 100. Odd thing is, the brown algae is beginning to disappear. I doubt 3 small hermit crabs could've cleared all that out in just a couple of days. It was all over the place.
