possible ich

One of the fish in my seahorse tank has for some reason developed what looks like ich. It was looking good one day and then had a white spot on its tale the next.
I cant get it out of the tank without tearing things apart. I havent had to deal with ich for a number of years so I dont know what new meds are out there. Does anyone know of a copper free in tank treatment? My tank is an 85 gal hex with horses, fish, zoos, and softies.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

IMO- just leave it alone. if its a healthy fish, chasing it around will just stress it and the rest of your fish into ALL getting ich, if thats what it is.

a healthy fish should beable to throw off ich.

That is what I was thinking but wanted to see if I was on the right track. I will be using some garlic in their food to hopefully stop it from spreading.

We have a 90gal reef/fish tank and had ich a few months back. There is no cure other than removing the fish to a QT and trweating with either lowering the SG to 1.009 or treating with copper. All the products they have on the market (kick-ick) which is reef safe does not work.. in my opinion.

We had to remove 30 corals 135lbs of LR in order to get to the fish and then we QT them for 6 weeks and raised the main tank temp to 90 to speed up the cycle.

We know QT all new residences for 3 weeks min before they go into the main tank and have not had a ich problem since then.

The other thing that does work once you cleared up the ich feed your fish Garlic (go to your LFS and buy Kent Garlic) add a few drops to their fedding and it will build up their immune system.. once gain I read this from the website above and I have not had a problem.

Please understand that this is what worked for me and have read alot on this disease and it is my opinion only, do the reading and research and what I have learned might just work for you.
