possible LE?

What would make this a "Limited Edition" coral? LE was from Tyree who auctioned limited amounts of frags over time.

Nice coral. From what I understand, to become an LE an owner sends a frag/coral to Tyree for evaluation. He does not pay for the coral. Most of the corals he receives probably do not become le's. If the coral is special in some way and holds up over time, it may become a reefarmers LE/AE and auctioned/waiting listed.

I know a couple people who sent some frags to Tyree. He is currently evaluating them to see if they will become LE or not. Fortunately for me I already have gotten frags of some, or will get frags of the others soon, of the ones that they sent to him. If they become LE's atleast I won't have to pay the increased price for them.

From how it has been explained to me you also have to send him two frags. One for him, and one for sale.

in all seriousness, it appears to be a nice piece but I agree, don't worry about it becoming a AE/LE...if it's nice enough over time you can market it yourself!

agreed, the flamethrower came from a local reefer, and was marketed well and now its one of the most popular. but not a LE/AE

Someone forgot to mention that in exchange for the 2 frags, Tyree also gives 2 LE frags in exchange. He does not just take your frags for nothing in exchange. Also Tyree has never attached his name to any of the corals. He calles them LE or AE. It is us as hobbyist that refer to those corals has Tyree LE or AE. If anything I would think that Steve would prefer to use the name Reef Farmers instead of Tyree.
Steve is a very humble guy for those that know him. I see so many people spreading half truths about his business and I can say the many that have met or know him know that much of it is just not true.

Username? I believe he uses his name "Steve Tyree" when he does post. But why would he with people who have never met him and judging him by false rumors and half truths. And some stooping to the levels of calling him satan. Simply pathetic!
