Majanos don't have pink tips, you're thinking of another pest called the "tulip anemone". And both majanos and tulip anemones usually have more tentacles and they are usually not so pointy, more of a blunt, rounded tip. The shape is dead-on for aiptasia, but I've never seen a green aiptasia before.

Interesting. No one seems to know. I agree they shouldn't be kept; but I was hoping someone would know a little more about them.

Those are such a pretty color! Personally I'd set up a little 2.5 gallon for them and watch their behavior.

I know this an old post, but i am wondering if you ever identified these anemones? I have them too and they spread at an amazing rate. The photo posted is the only picture I have seen that match my anemones perfectly.
Luckily they are only in a couple of my smaller tanks. So far I haven't found anything that eats them. I have tried filefish and peppermint shrimp. Sorry I didn't remove them when I only had a few : (
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
