It was suggested i move my thread here. So i did.

I bought a pair of ORA Spotcinctus a month ago. I think the male might have caught something. I have three videos that i will post. You can see his swimming is odd, at least to me and compared to the female, his breathing is very fast, Hes getting more picky on what he eats, i do believe hes still eating but it getting harder to tell. He seems to only use his side fins to swim and hes very fat in that area. It's hard to say went you see him every day but i think he is getting more lethargic as time has gone on.

Can i get some opinions please?

Did you actually buy these two clowns as a "mated" pair, or did you buy two clowns?

I can not see the specifics you point out by looking at this vid because the fish are moving around quite a lot, but I can see aggression going on every time the smaller fish approaches the larger who has claimed the anemone. I can see the smaller fish is breathing rapidly and appears stressed.

Unless you actually purchased a mated pair, I think your problem is aggression.

They were a mated pair from LA divers den. When I'm not filming the female usually hangs behind that rock in the back where there is another anemone and the male is in that front anemone until the last few days where he is spending more time out of the anemone and just hovering around.

One month and a few days now. And they are the newest addition. And they are in a frag tank and the only other fish with them is a banggai cardinalfish. Water tested fine and has tested fine since ive had them.

I'm not a clownfish expert but this does seem to be aggression. You may want to post the videos on the clownfish forum and see what they say.

These are not my first pair of clowns and i really don't think it is aggression, I know i cant watch them 24/7 but when i do, most of the time they are apart. the female tends to hang more in the back of the tank behind that rock where there is another anemone, and the male tends to stay more up front. The female really only comes up front when im active around the tank or feeding. These were a mated pair bought from LA divers den and i do see them swim together like a pair without picking on each other often. I just really feel like over the past couple of weeks the way he looks, way he swim and his breathing has gotten further from normal.

I did not QT them, after acclimation i put them into my frag where they are alone beside the one banggii cardinal fish, this tank is attached to a 250g system.

All I can point out is that you can see aggression going on in the 3 vids you posted, and that is only a few mins of these two clowns together.

Ask a mod to copy this topic over to Clownfish forum where you may get more insight in to clownfish behavior or they may be able to identify more to the problem. Or, if you have some photos of the sick fish where specific diseased area can be seen, we may then be able to get a better idea about the problem.
