Possible to do too much light?

Ah, I'm going nuts! Well, I ordered my heatsink and it should be here Wednesday. It'll probably be a few weeks til I have the money for the LEDs.

Having run both types of light over my 24 gallon nano I can honestly say that both have their positives and negatives.

LED's (I have an AI sol)
Pro's:
No heat issues -12 inches above water
Color on All types of corals is good
-Reds and greens really pop
Dont have to replace LED's every 6 months
Growth on corals seem about the same.
Lower electric bill-yea haw
Nice shimmer

Con's
My red planet isn't as red as it was under my MH (more dark pink)
The price $$$$

MH
Cons
Heatorama must run a fan to negate issue (I had a 2 fan AZoo)
Sucks up the electricity
Bulb replacment every 6 months
loud fans in fixture and Azoo fans

Pros:
I never had any issues with color or growth at any placement in tank in a mixed reef
Nice shimmer

One tax returns worth. Photos to come. ill hint that I got 11 48d drivers.

"honey, with the savings of electricity with led we have a smaller comed bill and less carbon foot print. We probably saved a family of pandas!"

Thanks if ever emails back. I cant wait told the wife it would be cheaper in the long run and be able to have even cooler stuff . Like when we had our 90 gallon running. with 750 watts of MH over it and 2 4foot T-5s for supplement. You could watch the meter spin.LOL
