post a pic of your clownfish

The point is you made a lot of bumps. This thread imo wasn't as good as the "post pics of your carpet" thread. That thread was all pictures and no talk. It was awsome.

FettersFish:

How was the process of mating a Black Oscellaris with a GSM? I have been led to understand that it is impossible to pair a GSM with a different species. Please, share how you accomplished this.

Thanks!

Actually it was a complete luck of the draw. I wish I could give you pointers, but I think it had everything to do with the personalities of my clowns.
The GSM was the only clown in my 180g for several years. A couple years ago a local reefer getting out of the hobby gave me his entire tank of livestock which included the ocellaris.

My first hope was that the tank would be large enough for the two clowns to avoid each other, but to my complete suprise the two paired up almost instantly. They've been together ever since and have had multiple clutches of fertile eggs together, but I don't have the room or resources to try and raise the babies.

Ok. Let the thread move on. This thread was in the 3rd or 4th page column and you continue to keep bumping it. Let it rest. I am sure you got all clownfish owners attention by now.

Dude quit being such an @ss. People like to comment on other peoples clowns, way they are cared for, how long they've had them where they were purchased, how many they have etc etc...Thats what this hobby is all about. So unless a MOD doesnt like the bumping you have no authority to be saying anything. IMO the MODS should make this a sticky, just like they made the wrasse one in the "Reef Fishes."

A clown is a common fish in the hobby, and your wrong there are still many that have clowns, some rare that have yet to take a look down here in this forum and post, thats why I said a sticky of this would be sweet.

So sorry if you were expecting a picture book, but I myself like to read on other peoples success.

If the MODS make this a sticky the poor kid can stop bumping and semireef can REEF-ON! Cmon MODS!

Sam

It is worth a sticky.

My F1sh R D34D!, alright. Sorry for being that way. Sorry for being to blunt. But can you keep your posts more community friendly here? I don't appreciate being called an "@ss."

But yes this should be a sticky so puffer21 doesn't have to keep bumping it for here sake. lol.

Cool man no hard feelings... You were making puffer21 feel like an outcast everytime he bumped. Just saying what I felt.

So how do we go about on gettting this a sticky?

Reef on baby!;)

Folks,

We have proven time and time again, nobody reads stickies. When was the last time someone clicked through the FAQ pages ;)

For now, let's allow the thread to live on it's own merits and keep it on topic. I am subscribed and check in on it :)

Cheers,

Scott

I had to create a "reefcentral" folder in my inbox filter on Yahoo because of this thread! :eek2:

I bought a young pair of the black ocellaris approximately 3 months ago, they were very very small when I got them; they sure do grow quickly. I got them because they were supposed to be "rare"; bred for their dark black bodies and raised in London England; I really enjoy watching them waddle. I plan on ordering the Wilkerson book to learn how to breed them. Any other suggestions on reference material geared towards the clowns.

Mine clowns look like dodo99's! Great pictures!
