Post recent tank pics!

Very Good looking tank, I like your selection of corals , and I see what you mean about the lights, but those are sure pretty tanks. Well done.

I'm sensing some hate right now :)

The batteries on the camera are dead and I haven't taken the time to look for the charger. I promise I will find it tonight and try to get them posted before I go to bed...

We're gonna hold ya to that. :D

CJ:

Your tank is looking awesome, man! I've heard you're a master aquascaper. :)

How is your solar wrasse doing? Is it still around?

Without any further ado...and more harassing from the peanut gallery, here are some new tank shots after we ripped everything apart and cleaned house. New rocks, no more sand, a whole lot more flow, etc.

brandon: Thanks man..I wouldn't say master...I just probably spend too much time planning and tweaking aquascaping..there are lots of caves and ledges and swimthroughs that don't come across in the pictures..
also the solaris wrasse went to the big ocean..disappeared..awesome fish wish he was around..

everyone elses tanks here are looking really really good...I forget how skilled so many of you are in this hobby...keeps me always trying to do better.

Great looking tanks!
Nashvegas, is the ricordia in the center pink or orange? Never seen a pink one, looks beautiful.

The pictures of our tank were taken shortly after the rearrangement weeks ago... I've already noticed some promising changes in the color of things and I'm hoping that trend continues. With almost no fish in the tank right now, I think colors will actually continue to improve with a little bit more food (fish poo) in the tank. I'm sure the tank will continue to go through some various cycles as the tank matures a bit and life get's going in the rocks again. We accelerated that by keeping our cheato ball in the tank and picking as many micro stars out of the old rock as we could. Not to mention seeding with a couple of pieces of rock and what's attached to the corals...

As you can see from the picture, the great stuff and egg crate overflow cover pretty much blends right in. I'm really pleased with how it looks so and after a little bit of coralline I think you won't be able to notice any "weirdness" about it even if you know it's there.

Don't forget your clams need lots of fish poo, too! :)

Looks great! That is one CRAZY maxima clam! That clam looks extremely unique. Most of them are blue! Very cool.

Brandon - It's a gold tear drop maxima. I don't think they are that rare necessarily, but I bought that specific one because it had more spots than any of the others I've seen. Can't see it in the pic, but the edge of the mantle is a bright blue color. Clams pics never do them justice... heck, viewing them from the side doesn't really do them justice either.
