I dont have any nice ones of my tank yet. My friend is upgrading to a 150 and I bought his 90g. This is when he had it setup. These were taken with a Canon G9.

I usually have it on manual mode when shooting the tank. for the pics above the settings were


Exposure: 0.025 sec (1/40)
Aperture: f/5
Focal Length: 7.4 mm
ISO Speed: 80
Exposure Bias: 0/3 EV
Flash: Flash did not fire
Shutter Speed: 170/32
Exposure Mode: Manual
White Balance: Manual

Here's one of my favorites taken with a cheapy Canon A590 IS. The pic below is of a Blue Tort under Phoenix 14Ks and Super Actinic T5 supplementation.

So speaking of Point & Shoots, maybe we can spin-off a Point & Shoot tips thread? Using the Manual mode on the A590, I've managed to get some pretty decent shots, but I still find myself taking a bunch of pictures with settings all over the place, and only maybe <10% being nice quality pics. Maybe we can have a thread in which we can share Point & Shoot Reef Photography Best Practices?

here are some pics of my 75g from my last round of shooting with my wife's samsung BL103... all pics taken under 250wRL10kSE on m58 ballasts in lumenarc minis... no actinic supplementation at all... i'm still learning this new camera since she just got it for christmas but it does pretty good for a P&S

excuse the saturation on this one... the blue tips GLOW and i have a hard time taming them

Thanks for the comments. I think it was and still is a great Point and Shoot camera for how old it is. I used a tripod, turned off pumps, and cleaned the glass before taking the shots so that helped some as well. I also used a set of macro lenses for some of them as well.
