Blotched Anthias

Tierra Anthis (female)
Six Line Wrasse
McCoskeri Wrasse
Cleaner Goby
Percula Clown(Picasso B Grade)x2
Midas Blenny

yellow watchman goby
Pair of ocellaris clownfish
Bangaii cardinal
one green chromis
lyretail anthias (small female)
sixline wrasse

Added in that order to my 3' nano-reef.

No aggression but I have to do two water changes per week....roughly 30%

Moving the chromis and the anthias in a few weeks to the 75g to keep it at 5 fish so I can slow down with the water quality upkeep.

Cardinal never leaves the back corner where I drop mysis in.
Clowns never leave their welso brain
YWG never leaves the sandbed at the center of the tank.

Leaves a lot of room for everyone else.

my list:
1 Tomato Clown
2 Red Fin Waspfish
I would like to get rid of the clown because he basically chases new additions to death and waspfish are the only ones that he doesn't fight with. My ideal list would be:
1 Mystery Wrasse
1 Possum Wrasse
2 Red Fin Waspfish
Also, Red Fin Waspfish (which are sometimes available at LiveAquaria) are easy to train on frozen foods, don't get infected with ick, they are personable, and extremely cute (to me at least). They are a great investment you wont regret.

33 gallon long

1x Ocellaris Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris)
1x Blue Chromis (Chromis viridis)
1x Firefish (Nemateleotris magnifica)
1x Banded Goby (Amblygobius phalaena)
1x Green Wrasse (Halichoeres chloropterus) <~~ semi reefsafe fish

Regretted putting banggai cardinalfish in my tank. They just don't eat, and die slow deaths. It's a shame because they're one of my favorites. So many people say they're hardy fish too. I'm 0/4 and will never buy one again. I'll just admire them at the pet store.

if you can keep up with the bioload there isn't a limit on the amount of fishes. I am long as you have your water param controlled you'll be fine.

+1 to what kingfisherflesh said.

Also, there's such a thing as psychological overcrowding. Don't forget that reef fishes are always competing for food, territory, and mates in the wild. Many freshwater fish cope well with community tank conditions because they're found in large groups (not to mention smaller bodies of water) in the wild, but most of the marine species we keep don't school or shoal. Even if the water parameters are stellar, fishes living in an overcrowded system may be stressed by constantly competing with too many "neighbors"--especially if they occupy the same territorial niches.

Do you know if the Banggais were wild-caught, or captive-bred? WC Banggais are infamous for having dismal survival rates. CB Banggais, on the other hand, are usually very hardy. You might want to try getting a CB one (or a proven pair) next time.

i would lose the coral beauty and mimic tang if i were you, and get some more slender fish (anthias, blennies, wrasses). just a suggestion.
