Post Your Tank Photos

Thanks Klepto. I actually have a top down box on order this week and will try my hand at some shots. My clam is doing great but keeps walking right up to the glass.

I have posted a few pics of my very photogenic garf purple bonsai but this one is even better (maybe). I was trying to increase the depth of field so increased film speed to 800iso and and one stop underexposed so the lens was closed down to f10. I was taking the picture with a timer to reduce camera shake and one of my anthias swims behind the coral and poses for the camera. I was able to get more of the coral in focus but the anthia is very unfocused so I'm not sure if it adds to the picture or detracts. Comments?

Great image Seaguy. That is a stunning coral.
I like the contrast and the vibrant colors. What lighting was this shot taken under?

Very cool pics so far, i cant beleive it took me this long to wonder into the forum...

Anyways, i just started w/photography as a hobby. Im using a Canon G5 that was given to me by my dad (he upgraded lol). Im still reading the manual, and im still playing with a lot of things but here are some i liked from tonight.

Just got the new camera on Thursday, tryin to figure some things out.

There's some characters in the URL's that RC doesn't recognize as images, and I am unsure how to get around that, so you can just view the album on photobucket if you'd like, or if someone wouldn't mind embedding them for me???... [Edit] Scratch that. Thanks a lot Recty!! [Edit]

Click one of your links, on the page it will show a spot that says "IMG Code". Cut and paste that code into your post and it will work.

Here, I'll do the first one for you.

Hey there Brian- thanks for stopping by to say hello.
I like the look of your new tank! cool dimensions
What are you planning on stocking?

Recty- what are you feeding all your angels/tangs? they all look quite healthy.

Es- cool close ups. some post processing would help bring out some more of your coral's colors- they look a bit washed out on my monitor. i realize you just snapped them. and i just wanted to share my thought. please ignore it if you prefer.

GoBigorGoHome- I really like the color on that green ricordea and that image of your red acans. You may want to consider getting some of ORA's peppermints to help clean up those aptasia. I got two and they took down hundreds after I taught them where their food source was. or just use manual methods. i highly recommend taking care of them before they get out of hand.

thanks for contributing all.

klepto- If my aptasia aren't out of hand, then what is?? I squirt them with joe's juice once every couple of months, but i usually dont really mind them as long as they aren't touching my corals. I plan on adding some shrimp to it sometime, but I fear that some of my anemones are far too large for even the hungriest of peppermints... Thanks for the input and kind words!
