Randy, Boomer or even f18.... accoridng to my zeo test kit my K+ is around 250 an i want it to be 390... how much of this product do you think it will take to raise it to the proper level?

thanks

one 8 Oz bottle is equal like this:

100g=160ppt

so your tank is 2 bottles is enough. If you have patience, wait for me in one week, I'll post the result here.

that means you spend only $6.00 instead more than $100 with Zeo K+

lol.... yeah i was just wondering how much to get as i think you said you got lots off it...

i can wait to hear your results as it will save me $100...:D

thanks

Any of you notice any effects on the aquarium of adding potassium?

The potassium aspartate is interesting, and any noted effects could be due to either the aspartate or the potassium (or something else in it).

Note that if you do a big potassium boost, the amount of aspartate is quite large (larger than the potassium). I'm not sure what effect a lot of aspartate might have, but when metabolized it will provide nitrogen to end up possibly as nitrate (more than the potassium dosed).

So do you think that the potassium/aspartate mixture might be a better option once K levels are already at a target range vs. a correction dosing(can it be called correction until there is more studies done) and KCl used for the larger K increases?

So far, I have noticed 4 tanks using the KCL without effects on corals. BTW, tese 4 tank mainly house SPS.

I totally agree. It's sort of a chronic accumulation. At the present everything might look o.k but who knows.

Sometimes I look into my tank, I still don't know what the heck is actually happenning in there!

At the present, would monitoring nitrate levels be the only way to keep track of the aspartate or ??
