Potter's angel vs a regal angel

I have too many tangs that wouldn't be happy with a divider on the tank. I'm going to stick with the acclimation box for now then use the mirror trick when I release him later in the week.

A well established potters can be quite a little terror as you have seen. Provided your regal is well quarantined and eating a variety of foods I would not worry too much. I kept a potters in with a regal, flame, and bellus with no issues, but it was all about social acclimation. Give your potters time and be should work out his territorial issues.

I've recently introduced a Male Nahackyis Hooded Wrasse into my 180. As usual, the female Hawaiian Wrasse took her bullying on top of the Mystery Wrasse. I had the Nahackyis in a DIY acclimation box for approx 2 weeks. He was eating well in there and I thought that maybe he'd be fine outside of the box. As soon as he was let out, they found the opportunity and started to flare and nip at him. This went on for a couple of days but he is now doing fine. Occasionally, the female flame and the mystery would chase him but it doesn't last but a few seconds. I'm all for the acclimation box

Thanks for all the help everyone. The regal has been in the acclimation box for 3 days now. He is eating everything I put in the box from frozen foods to pellets. All of the other fish are ignoring the box. I just don't know if its "safe" to let him out yet.

I know you are eager to release the regal, but I would wait until Friday or Saturday when the lights go out. You only will have one chance, so make the best of it.

Well here's an update, I released the regal from the box last night when the lights went out. As of this morning the lights aren't on yet and the potters is still going HAM on the regal in the light from the room. There is some tail swating and fin flaring from the tangs. I am going to go to HD to get a mirror later to see if that helps. I guess I might have to see how this plays out. My orange shoulder beat the crap out of my lt tang when I added it and that aggression passed so I'm hoping the potters aggression will too.
