hey everyone i need help QUICK!!!!!!! ok i bought a potters and now it has fin rot ( if thats what its really called) but its tail and pectoral fins look as though there disinergrading what should i do. hes in my main tank as that was reccomended not to quaratine him. so should i go get a rubbermaid and put my tank water in there ( some of it anyway ???????? and what meds should i start him on . please help quick thanx, also i know everyone says this but ive been in teh hobby for 3 years and my aprms are great

Ho Go29,

if your fish has fin rot he probably has a gram negative bacteria infection if his fins are really ragged and starting to get worse and worse.

Of course you need good water quality and you can use Maracyn-Two for treatment

Make sure it is maracyn 2 as that treats gram negative bacteria and 1 treats gram positive.
