Powder blue going nuts!!!

Do yo defrost the mush before feeding it ? Is there any chunks to eat? My trigger likes to eat the big stuff.

Yes, just like using cubes of mysis. I know some people throw frozen food into the tank and let the fish pick at it but I do not. I will defrost a couple of cubes in a small dish and then using a plastic pipette feed multiple small doses so I don`t over feed the tank. When using a processor or blender you can control the finished product with a little practice. The longer you run the blender, the finer the chunks. The finer pieces can be spot fed to corals then.

I also defrost the cubes before feeding. I've got a measuring cup that I swiped from the kitchen that I just dip out some tank water and drop my frozen food in that until it thaws then dump it in the tank. Some people go as far as to drain the water out and just put in the food. I don't think it really makes that much of a difference.

My achilles goes nuts after I clean the glass because of his/her reflection.

I was also going to ask if you cleaned the glass recently. I've noticed if I let the sides get funky and then clean them, it can be a little disorienting to some of the fish.

I once had a freshwater catfish and I noticed over a couple days it had become a lot more active. On about the third day, I came in and found him floating dead. He was over a foot long. I hated losing him. I discovered that my heater had malfunctioned and had let temps go up really far. The only fish that survived were Oscars. Now, when I see a sudden increase in activity, I check temperature first. I also have learned that most heaters, when they go bad, stay on, instead of just turn off. I now use a few smaller heaters instead of one big one. That way if one sticks on, the others just stay off.
