powder blue kept chasing the newly intro copperband butterfly

Mike,

How do you catch your pbt repeatedly? They are pretty wary of anything new in the tank and would seem to be smart enough not to be fooled by a fish trap more than once.

My PBT is always one of the first in the trap, regardless of which fish I'm actually trying to catch

Mine too! He's a hog that is way more concerned with food than danger. I recently introduced a CBB to my 30" x 30" cube with an established PBT. The butterfly was QTed and eating to begin with. It was a stressful first 2 hours but after a while the CBB stayed in the corner and the PBT would visit him to remind him he's the new guy but no serious aggression. The next day I came home from work and the two were ignoring one another and the CBB was foraging all over the tank free of harassment.

Now they don't interact at all. In fact, The CBB routinely steals food from the tang. As a side note the tank already had an established regal and majestic angel as well. IMO, careful observation and experience is the key.

Here's a blurry cell phone pic of all 4 living harmoniously.
