Here is my PBT.
He is a few years old (tank life) and has lived in 3 tanks.

can i put more than one tang in a tank
Not only a nice PBT but great looking tank! Love the dimensions, 3 visible angles and clean look!!!!! How wide is that tank? 4 foot?
5 foot wide, 7 long, 2.2 high
Not to be a party pooper, but a visible spine indicates a skinny PBT, IMO/E. I would increase the feeding, especially with high quality dryfoods like NLS pellets or ON flakes.
I don't feed dry foods, never have, never will.
Quality dry foods are an excellent way to fatten up skinny, newly imported fish like tangs because they have a high protein content without the excess "filling" moisture of frozen foods, are are super easy to feed often (like every time you walk by the tank). Not to be dismissed, especially for anyone reading a PBT primer![]()
Haha understandable. I feed fresh foods from the grocer/fishmonger though. IME I have found that my fish, not just the PBT, respond better to this than other types.
I'm going to have to try to get some side and profile shots of my PBT this weekend.
Fish get used to what you feed them over time. Do you have any recent pictures of your PBT? He could surely put on a fair amount of weight from the picture you posted up above.
