Powder brown tang

Hello all. Have problem and question. As is know Acanthurus japonicus can be aggressive against other tangs. But i have this fish for 3 months now and it do not have any problem with any fish except Salarias fasciatus . Salarius is in tank for 6 months and didnt have problem with any fish. Doing his job eathing algae ect. My question is why ? It isnt even same shape or genus. Love both of them but i am afraid Salarius will be dead in future from all this chasing not giving him chance to eat some algae. Maybe it is same food they eat ? Powder brown nips back glass all time.

You are correct. He sees the blenny as a threat to his food supply

You could try offering nori constantly to see if it helps

I agree, I am experiencing the same thing with my Kole Tang being a PITA with my Lawnmower Blenny.

Interesting thing is i have Hippo and Yellow with Brown in tank no problem at all. Also have coral beauty who nips algae all time. To be honest Salarius nips less then them but it picks him dunno why . Ocean is beautiful thing sometimes violent but all in all really strange and beautiful. Will try nori to see what happens.
