Power goes out...

I'd disagree here. You're talking about a single fish/coral within a bag consuming the oxygen. Within your tank all the organisms consume the oxygen in a much faster manner. I'd give it half that but that is just a guess

+1 - can't compare at all
- O2 depletion is bad but CO2 accumulation is worse - cause it effects the pH. as CO2 builds up in the system pH drops, that will cause your probs
- in my case larger colonies suffered worse then frags but i did lose a couple newly introduced ones
- every tank is different depending on bioload
- my vodka system was hit hard i believe because of all the bacteria (O2 --> CO2) and the cryptic fuge

i have had the power go out twice in the last couple months
the first time i did not have my generator cause i had borrowed it to a freind to go camping. the tank was only without power for about 6 hours. within a week or two everything had browned out and now more then a month later are just starting to come back.
the second time we were out 25hrs but my generator ran all my pumps and i don't expect much bad to happen

so to your question - you will know withiin the week if it was too long for your tank or not
