Power outages

Recently had a power outage that included my wireless network. I was not able to communicate with P3 in order to reset the alarms and get the tank going via web.
Fortunately was able to get home soon and did not loose anything.
How can I avoid this?
APC's?
SMS module?
Been searching BOTH forums and cant find anything.

I have my internet router,my P3 and one of my ghl powerbar on some UPS. One one my powerbar (for lights) in just connected to the wall. One of my UPS has a lan card, so it can sem me status of the power failure.

Anytime there is a power failure, I also get a alarm email from the P3 that there is a PAB Comm error... that means that the powerbar conneted to the wall has lost power or is not working.
