Power Supply Voltage - Why Change It?

Roger,

Can you give me the top reasons pro and con for changing the voltage on my 6105's and 6208 power supplies? I know it's probably a basic question, but for the life of me I can't find a simple explanation of "why", only "how" in the manual and other threads other than "higher is more efficient".

The voltage sets the range of speeds, so at 12V for example 30-100% will be roughly half of at 24V.
