Power supply

Im trying to figure things out here. I bought a lot (not alot) of various fish equipment. I have 2 - 6201's and 2 - 9935 power supplies. Both power supplies start up at about 3v dc output and seems to intermitantly go to 24v dc. These are not on a controller yet. I want to make sure I have all of the items working properly before putting it all together. Also to note, when the power supply is at 24v, the red light is bright. When at 3v its more dim. Is this a function of the power supply or is it bad?

to note:
6101.240 are on the power supplies.

So is that a yes they are bad?

Also. The power supply says
Output: 5-24 VDC 50A max

I didnt think 3.XX V was too out of wack.

Can someone point me to a downloadable user manual, in english? The one I found is 68 pages, mostly in another language.

this is the manual, notice they are in 3 languages. Each page is done in German, English and French... English being the middle in each part.

The power supply on a 6101 only has a jumper to switch it between 15v and 24v the 6201 power supply is straight 24V. How are you getting it from 3 to 24 without a controller? Are you doing this using the dial on the part the power supply plugs into?

Also can you verify the pump model you have? Scott is right the power supply you have is for a 6101

I also am confused, how are you getting 3V? A 6201 should have the 6300.24 power supply which is just a straight 24V, The 6101's use the 6101.24 which is switchable from 15-24V by changing a jumper. We have no part 9935.

Sorry, I mis typed. They are 2 - 6101's. As for the puwer supply, I took a pic.

I plug in the pump to the power supply. I plug the power supply into the wall. The pump does not turn. I took my volt meter to check the power supply. It reads approx 3vdc. The thing that confuses me is that they are both doing the same thing.

Do you have a photo of the jumper? Where the red LED lights up there is a jumper it will say 15V or 24V, this jumper doubles as a fuse. That is the wrong power supply for a 6201, that is a 6101.240 which is for a 6101 or a wavebox.

So we are on the same page here. I mentioned above that I typed that wrong. There are 2 6101's. Here is a pic that you requested. With my ohm meter, what am I looking of it to be?
I am getting 2.95K ohms. Also. Today the power pack is at 4 volts, with the fuse removed it is at 3 volts if that helps.

I would need to check, I don't have an ohmmeter with me at the office but I have one at home. I strongly suspect that the jumpers are burned out, the 6101.24 is a 50W power supply, a 6201 uses 55W, it will not work long term especially at full power.

How can I go about getting 2 new 24v jumpers?

I would rather be sure of this first than just have you throw money at the jumpers. Can you send me a power supply to test? The jumpers are on our website, you can order them, for that matter you can use any laptop power supply, for the 6201 we use a 110w power supply because they run cooler than the smaller power supplies and this should equal a longer life.
