Powerhead for 9 gallon cube

I'm considering upping my flow game with a powerhead. I currently have only the stock Eheim filter that came with the tank. I've noticed that everything in the path of the flow is happier than the rest, so I think it's time for a complimentary powerhead to get things moving.

I't a pretty small tank, obviously, and I'm not looking for my stuff to be battered and tossed. Does anyone have any suggestions/successes with a smaller nano? It's tough to gauge things from looking at stats online.

Cheap is good, attractive design/low profile is good, decent but not overwhelming flow is great.

Thanks!

I'm in the very initial steps of setting up an 8G system, and i think i'm going with the Ecotech10, maybe even the wireless version. It's a lot of money, but it seems significantly smaller in the tank, which to me is a big deal considering the small tank.

I'm curious for the opinion of other reefers.

I'd look into some of the Tunze nano powerheads. Extremely low profile which is important in a small tank and they can be aimed easily. Many of the value priced powerheads are just too large IMO for a nano tank.

Some of those smaller Rio power heads are worth looking into as well. These pack quite a punch for such a small package IMO.

hydor evo pico mag pump. 180 gph, perfect size for a pico tank and the price is very nice.

the tunze 6040 would work also (dont do the 6020 as it is not controllable), but is $$.

Aaaaand Rick is the winner! After some research and review skimming, I went with the Hydor Koralia 240. I'll reply back once I have it set up to share how it goes.

Again, thanks for the suggestions.

Aren't those expensive? I'm pretty sure you can achieve the same results for half the price, especially in a 9 gallon tank. lol
