powerhead?

How much flow would be needed for a 30 gal long tank I have 1 200gph powerhead now with the little cheap wavemaker attachment is this enough or do I need more?

danny, id put a couple maxi jet 1200's in there. sean has em up there. id shoot for atleast 20 times turnover so in youre case roughly 600gph. the 2 1200s will give you 590ish gph and last forever. you can also put em on a wavetimer later on. see ya soon!<~~~steve

Yeah, I'd go with at least 2 1200's, plus returns from filters, etc. What kind of corals?

i have a 40 ..and i used to have two 1200....pretty good flow...then i exchanged one for a seio 620 and that was much better for me...at least the corals seemed to like it...save yourself the trouble and get as much flow as possible...slight over doing it i might recommend

Right now I just have neon green calustrea(spell?), kenya tree, pulsing xenia, flowerpot geniopra(spell), and a flame scallop I am just getting started tank setup only since christmas.
oh and a something something bright pink anemone
