is it good to have powerheads on 24/7 is it ok? or should you alternate it? i have 2.

ya keep them on 24/7...the ocean dont stop at night or anything

Only way you wouldnt have them on all the time is if you had a wavemaker, but i dont use those in my tanks.

It's also good to alternate them in a random way, use a controller depending on the powerhead. Don't use one that simple turns the PH's on and off, it's pretty harsh and cuts down on the PH's lifespan....You want the random flow to flush out detritus

^^ yes, a controller with a "soft-start" option is usually preferred
