Powerheads

Does everyone cover their powerheads? If so what with?

I have 2 x 5000L/Hr SunSun powerheads in my tank. No anemone yet or for a while, just researching.

what i do with some of my powerheads that dont have a bottom cover piece. I use the sponge like the one you would use in your filter. cut a lil hole in the top just to fit in your bottom piece, that should not slow down he flow. I havent had a probly, clean your sponge though monthly or change. Up to you!

Depending on what kind of anemone you are planning to get. If you are thinking of BTA, then you probably want to cover up your PH since BTA tends to move around until it finds a spot it likes. For carpet, sebae, LTA, these anemones hangs out at the bottom of the tank and set its foot on the ground. No need to worry about these anemones moving close to your PH.

i use to have a carpet get stuck in my powerheads alot....i had to cut him out one too many times
