Powering separate channels on multichip

I've been using these 100w multichips for the past few months. They're 40 chips 10000-15000K + 60 chips 445-460nm Royal Blue. The center chips are the 10000-15000k channel and the two outside are the actinic.

I'd like to power the two channels independently but not sure what to do :) I've been using the original ballasts that came with the Ecoxotic Cannons. They are dual channel and I'm able to ramp the fixtures. Just not sure how to modify the chip solder points for separate channels control.

Can someone with knowledge about this, sketch on the pic exactly what needs to be done? The VDM cable has 4 wires so I assume this can be used for this purpose. Two for VDM 1 powering one channel and two for VDM 2 for the second channel.

On that chip you cannot separate the channels since they all share a common power bar inside the chip.

On some multi-chips the power bars are separated internally and you can just cut the solder tabs apart like on the lumia chips, but the one you pictured is most common for the chips that are not meant to be multi-channel.

Sorry, but your stuck with all or nothing.

Just perusing the forums. OK thanks for that info. Thought I might be able to tweak the output to more heavily actinic. You have any suggestions for a different 100w chip that I can work with?

They are hit or miss, look around on ebay and contact the sellers, some of them will make you custom chips.
