PPE babies

Hello all. I just recieved this PPE head last week. It came in with a develping baby on the side. Since then, another bulge has formed and a possible third one is in the works.

How fast do these things grow?? I thought they were slow grower? Could the stress from shipping be causing it to reproduce faster?

When I first got mine in it spit out babys fast but as they get more settled in they have slowed way down.I am at 5 months and not 1 baby so yes they are slow for me that is.

new. they'll sprout a couple right a way. but after that.... SNAILS pace. all 4 small colonies did that too me.

I have one polyp that I got a year ago. It's still one polyp.

Aw that's a bummer. I have heard if scoring the growth mat to stimulate growth but I dont think you can do that with only one polyp.

I have had mine for 7 month and only have 1 new polyp since.

Propagator over on Nano-reef would cut slits on the foot of his PPE to promote growth. He said it worked for him and with the feedback mentioned above it may not be that far fetched. If everybody notices new polyps on recently received frags then it could be a reaction to that particular frag being cut off a few days/weeks ago.

Just a thought! I would be more than happy to be a guinea pig for this experiment but I recently lost my last polyp due to some alk issues. Drip kalk in moderation kids!

I got a single polyp of the PPRPE and it was a single for about 7-8months. Upgraded the tank which I also started dosing amino and feeding Rod's foods and now I have two new polyps in about a month.

Got some other PE's and they are the same way.....have tried cutting the mat between stalks and that has not changed anything much.

I started off with 10 two years ago and between my colony and my 2 frends that have gotten frags from me we have almost 100
