PraziPro and Airstone

after reading the directions on PraziPro, is says to turn off your skimmer. Does an airstone for a sponge filter reduce the effectiveness of PraziPro?

Don't think so. I have used air pump with airstones in PP water before. Work fine.

I did as some others did and removed the cup from my skimmer opened the gate valve wide open and let it run.....yes I had micro bubbles but I did not lose any fish as a result of lack of O2 while doing this.

No I always use an air stone in my QT and prazi all my fish!

They don't want you to use a skimmer since it degrades the PP

So me an several others that take to cup off of the skimmer and let it run as a big air stone are messing up?

Oh well worked great for me and others with zero O2 issues as a result.

We need this answered, I have wondered it many times. Currently have my cup off my skimmer.

I would call and ask them that question since my answer will be speculation and not facts

my speculation is the skimmer would remove the prazipro like it removes the waste. so as long as the prazipro isn't getting stuck somewhere (like in a collection cup) you should be fine. I'm currently running an airstone with my dose of prazi.

All i can say is what i have already said i used it with the cup off and worked great. Did not have to hook up another piece of equipment.

So I did my first round of PP with an air stone and no issues but then again there were no signs of flukes on the fish. I'm hoping it's just as effective. 2nd round will be next week.
