Or does it matter?

I'm actually using Rid-Ich. I started the first treatment last night on 4 small fish(watchmen, clown, royal gramma, blenny) in a 20g qt. I think rid-ich is copper based because its dark green in color.

My plan was to let this first treatment last a week and then maybe treat one more time with Rid-Ich. On the 3rd week I was going to do 2 weeklong treatments with prazipro, then 2 weeks observation.....is this going to work? They are eating well and not showing any signs of ich or disease.

rid ich is formalin based. helps with external parasites, but wont totally eradicate ich.

Cupramine is the copper drug of choice.

FWIW, I am currently treating an annularis angel and stars and stripes puffer with cupramine and they are both doing very well. In theory they are "copper sensitive" fish. Cupramine says its the safest treatment and I have yet to have any evidence to disagree. Ive used formalin in the past and it worked well at first, but not 100%. The only thing to consider when using copper is NOT to use tap water and the water conditioners. The water conditioners are reducing agents; this will change the ionic form of copper into something that is 10X more lethal. I have first hand experience with this unfortunately. After that I was turned off to copper but again, the formalin didnt do a perfect job (let alone you dont want to be exposed to it, no matter how careful you are). This time around I stuck with the RO/DI unit instead of tap and they are doing great- been 5 days now. I also used Prazipro per label instructions on the same day I put in the first dose of cupramine with no ill effects.
