Hi Guys,

So, as you guys might recall, I've got a LMB and a small clown going through TTM and prazi. I had a question about some stuff that I have been seeing. I've seen this previously too, but now with the consistency, I thought I would ask if others see this and what it might be.

So, I have been seeing gooey web-like stuff in the water.. Almost like mucus and stuff. Are these just bacteria blooming (the water, expectedly, is cloudy) fluke corpses, hah, or what?

would need a picture to help identify. Flukes will be oblong, and clear in color. Typiceally smaller than a grain of rice

So this is what I am talking about. Notice the circled web-like stuff..

Also, in the other image look at this crud on the glass. At first it looked like something living on the glass, like pods, but upon closer exception it's just the same mucusy crap.

Keep in mind this is after just a couple of days. They are due for a tank transfer tonight around 7 so they haven't been in this tank for more than a couple days.

Any ideas what this stuff could be? My first thought is just bacteria..

Are you using RO water for TT? Not sure what that is honestly but if it shows up in less than 72 hrs I would think bacteria too. Is the stuff in your DT?

Yep, RO water. I wasn't sure if everyone got this or just me. And it only seems to happen after I add PP.

My DT is clean. It's not a big deal, but definitely kinda strange. If not everyone gets this, maybe we just have more bacteria flowing through our house. haha.

My water will get cloudy after PP but not what you are having. I also use old light that the bulbs need replaced and sometimes just a regular lamp bulb and that will grow some weird stuff that you don't normally see. I wouldn't worry about it too much if the fish are eating and seem healthy

Yeah, it's not that I was too worried, but just curious as to what I was seeing. I've been using two tanks, one that I bought early on that has some bright led lights, and the other that I just put a versa top on and gets ambient light from the other tanks.. Both have shown the same stuff so I figure it's not anything that grows off of the light like you may have seen. I'm willing to bet it's bacteria...
