Pre-Order: Maxspect Gyre XF130

For a 55 gallon, are you better of with the 130 or the 150? I currently use a tunze and a jebao and flow is great but I'd love a cleaner look and to have some power savings.

The Gyre XF130 is designed for tanks ranging from 25 to 100+ gallons, so that would be the way to go. The larger and more powerful XF150 is rated for tanks 50 to 800+ Gallons. Unless you're planning to upgrade to a larger tank sometime soon, we think the XF130 would be a great fit for you.

130 for sure. 150 will be overkill. If you have corner overflows, make sure you have enough space.

After having it several months, it really is a great pump and well worth $240. Although I also use a couple other pumps in conjunction, the flow this pump produces across the top of my tank is unmatched by any other pump on the market.

Good to hear feedback from someone who's been using the Gyre for a while! First impressions count, but knowing a product is time-tested is much more worthwhile!
