pre swap deals

Just curious asto how the pre swap deals went? I did get a chance to put stuff up on fragswapper.com actually only figured it out a week ago :) seems like it's a pretty good way to ake arrangements. My question is how many got stiffed from a deal and ended up fragging something that later was a no show? I'm asking because I rather not take frags off colonies I don't need to.

I've not been a big fan of using fragswapper in the past but decided to bite the bullet and use it this time. I used it extensively and it's much better than I realized. With a few tweaks, it could be great.

As far as pre-arranged deals, I only had 2 no-shows, a very small percentage of what I arranged. One of the two contacted me after the fact. So I guess I ended up with just one "no-show", so to speak. Over all of the swaps I've been to, I've only had a handful of no-shows. Not sure if I've just been lucky or if this is representative.

I sold all mine on frag swapper. Everything was all lined up, gave my cell and what I was wearing and within 20 minutes of arriving, most was contacted and exchanged. Love it. But we did have allot of request, cancel, request, cancel. When you get an email from frag swapper, it doesnt always show who the persons online ID is. that doesnt help.

Agreed, that was an issue. It was addressed late in the game in the CSEA forum and it seemed to improve after that. A brief "be curtious" statement at the beginning when fragswapper (or whatever) is set up, might help. There are always, good, valid reasons for cancellations (can't make the swap, coral died, etc.), it's the other ones that are frustrating IMO.

Fragswapper sent out an email last week to cover this very subject.

BTW all of my deals went through, although I was disappointed with a couple.

I thought it worked out great. I only had one no show, who was actually at the swap but either could not find me or decided to stiff me.
I'll use it again for sure and I appreciate the person/people who set it up.

Didn't sell anything, but made deals to buy with 6 sellers, 4 had my frags when I got there at 2pm, and 2 had already sold them. But thats ok, I will remember who they are the next time and will know better than to deal with them again. See you can teach an old dog new tricks! Sure wanted that blue mushroom though.

taking everything into consideration, its a great program. Was just looking at the Pittsburg swap. Maybe some of us should car pool, check it out.

I forgot to mention, I did get some realy great deals off fragswapper for the most part, and btw Norm, thanks for the frags, they look great.

I had good sucess as well considering the amount of cancelations and requests I had. I want to thank everyone that was able to find me. I know to display my screen name on the wall behind me next year. I even like the idea of giving my number out too. That makes it really easy to find a person.

btw Norm, thanks for the frags, they look great.

Glad you like them Joe. BTW, if you feed those sun zoanthids, they will get huge and reproduce quickly.
