Preparing to get back in

Prepping myself for a return to reef keeping after a few years off. What do you all think about the proposed location? There is an outlet on the wall that will be repurposed. My hope is to get rid of the wall to allow for a full 3 sided view. 60x32x24 on the tank, 60x32x36 on the stand.

Any and all help/advice would be appreciated as I want to get this right the first time.

Looks good. You may want to upgrade that circuit/outlet or make sure it's enough to power all of your equipment? Maybe add a second outlet on it's own breaker (gfci of course).
Welcome back!

Welcome back and agree on structural confirmation that there are no load bearing walls as I noticed stairs on both sides. The tank itself if you build it with wooden support can also act as load bearing. I have a peninsula as well and have all four sides available for viewing/work space. Another thing to consider is if you want the 4th side to be a working space/station for maintenance.

Thank you for the warm welcome backs. I will have both a GC and electrical contractor come out to address the points made. I have not order a tank yet do you all have any recommendations on a good manufacturer? This is going to be my last setup so I really want to do this right from the beginning.

depends on your budget and the kind of tank you are looking for, if you are are ok with acrylic than Advanced acrylics can do it all... if you want glass you can go something pre-build like redsea or waterbox...or on the higher end side.. elos. If you want something custom crystal dynamic or reef savvy but it might take them months for delivery..

If I had the time, money and patience, I'd go with Reef Savvy. Another good local option as Hersheyb mentioned is Crystal Dynamics

No acrylic tanks for me, but I may AA to do my sump. I have time so I'll give both Reef Savvy and Crystal Dynamics a jingle.
