Price inconsistencies?

Hi,

I was just going to purchase the AquaC EV240 with the Mag18, some heaters, lights, etc, but:

This page says the skimmer 499.95:

When I click to add it to my cart, it is $5 more.

Then I had this item in my cart already for $699.90:

http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=CU01043

Now it is over $720 when I went to check out.

Same for some other items I was going to buy.

What is going on with your site. Are all your prices going up?

I just deleted my $2000 shopping cart order due to these inconsistencies.

What is going on?

It is denoted by an asterisks next to the item description. You will also note that the shopping cart description also indicated these additional shipping charges:

I think it would be cleared up easier if the * additional $5.00 charge was part of the base price and drop as a *. If it's to provide for local pickup then give a discount on the pay page. Just my opinion.

I have shopped a few times at MD and have been very pleased with customer service and prompt shipping. :thumbsup:
