Price of Hammers?

3-5 dollars a head from local hobbyists in the Sacramento area. I would believe $80 retail in one of the LFS. Hammers and Frogspawn seem to vary on price from hobbyist to hobbyist more than any coral. I usually just ignore the guys asking too much or offer a trade.

Around here the purple and green ones usually go for around $10/head. The question is should the larger pieces go for more because they are larger or should they go for less because the customer is spending more money?

Those are nice looking corals. Around here they really do cost $2 a peice. Most are about the size of a basketball though. Too big to be practical....

I believe this gentleman is talking about a wall hammer not a branching one

I hope you all realize the above statement. I'm still new in reefing, but I'm pretty sure wall hammers do not have heads. If there are heads on wall hammers, then I did not see any.

Around here hammer and frogspawns(wall) go for $100-180. I paid $150 for a green with pink tip aussi frogspawn. Lfs has that same hamer and is asking $140 so $80 I would pay that.

I meant a torch coral. but hammer, frog spawn, etc... LPS corals. around here $79.99/85.00 in general..
