probe calibration

im trying to calibrate my pinpoint ph controller and am having an issue, i bought a new ph probe and calibraton solutions, i can calibrate at 7.0 easily, but cant get the monitor to set at either 4.0 or 10.0, both reading are well below the fluid (either 4.0 and 10.0) and the slope set point wont allow for any more adjustment. Im just wondering if the probe is bad, the probe was capped from the factory and was still wet, ive follwed the instructions to a T, and have tried several times as well, any body know what the problem might be?

was able to help.
