This summer has been quite hot in Spain, and my rics have suffered high temperatures...:(

all the floridas have got white, and they have got smaller....

some still got the colour but not as bright and corourful as they used to have...

does somebody know how can I recover them??

need your knowledge plzz!! thank you very much!!

It sounds like the water temperature is too high and maybe they are getting too much light and have expelled the Zooxanthella. If they are getting sunlight, I'd suggest some shade cloth and try to lower the temperature of the water.

I had one of my rics a few months ago slide off unnoticed and fall down in my LR. When I noticed he was gone I went hunting... found him solid white but still alive. He appears to be fine and is SLOWLY showing signs of regaining color. I just keep him on the sand so as not to shock him with the light. Mine will either make it or not it will just take time. Just cause they lose their color doesn't mean they will die. Not your problem I know other than the whiteness in color. Hope it works out.
What are you calling HIGH temps?
How big is your tank?

sks4613 : my tank is 156 gallons (550 litres) + 40 galon ( 250litre) sump. The temperatures have been as high as 30º celcius degrees ( 86º farenheit)

they are still white...:(....any idea of how to improve their healing??

thanks for you answers!! :)

Run a fan across the surface of the water of the display tank. Just watch your evaporation rate. I cooled my 75G from 83 to 78 just by doing that. Now I don't get over 80 degrees.

Hey man! you hereabouts! :D

Put them on a shading place at the bottom of your tank, if I´m not mistaken, you have a too powerful light for them...
Try to feed them directly in their mouths, maybe they´ll accept some fine food.

Good luck!

When your floridas bleach if you want them to live you need to feed them if still possible. Ensure that the temperature stays within normal. Do regular waterchanges to replace trace elements and keep salinity/alkalinity/ph on track. Light is not an issue with floridas, don't worry that your light is to bright. Try to keep the flow on your floridas moderate or light.
