Problem updating firmware

My Apex Lite indicates it looses power about once a week. There is no loss in power but the controller still says it is loosing power. All my lights, pumps, etc., shut off even though power is still present through my EB8 and through the DC power supply, which is connected to an APC. I posted about this problem a couple months ago and everyone said, "I don't know what the problem is but try updating the firmware". I'm just now getting time to play with the update and am having issues.

I went to Neptune's website and followed the documentation on downloading the .net software. The install process results in an error and the install aborts. I read through the install text file and noticed Windows 7 was not listed as an approved operating system for .net. Can someone help here? Can .net be installed on a Windows 7 computer?

I'm really getting frustrated that my controller keeps shutting down my aquarium.

I figured out the problem with the download. Windows 7 already has an updated version of .net installed. If you try to install the older version linked to on the Neptune site, then it crashes the install. If you have Windows 7, then just follow the install directions following the .net portion. My firmware appears to now be updated to 4.04BC-10.

I hope this solves my restarting problem. Thanks.

After the firmware and webpage update, I no longer can plot graphs. The data can be viewed in table form but graphs no longer work. Any suggestions? Also, my status page now looks funky.

RE: Graphs not working - same here initially after I upgraded to BC10. All was fine though after about 24 hours. Others reported similar.

RE: status page looking "funky" - what do you mean? Post a screen shot if you can.

Great! I'll just wait 24 hours and try again.

I guess "funky" was a bad word choice. I should have said different than the previous version, which is OK.

I'm running IE8.

Thanks for the assistance!

Depending on how old your previous firmware was, there was a change to the Status Page. There now is a 'master' page that displays all outlets and probes and four customizable pages that follow the layout of the Display Unit pages.
