Problem with 6100 Driver

I just realized that one of my Tunze Streams 6100 is not pulsing and is not turning off in interval mode. It just stays on continuously. I switched out the driver (part number 7240.26) to one of the other three pumps and the problem switched to that pump. So I am pretty sure it is the driver.

Has anyone had problems wit the driver unit?

Where can I get help to get this fixed?

I have not seen that before, are you sure it was not the cable? If you swithed the cable as well I would suspect the cable from the controller to the driver, this is the usual culprit.

Thanks Roger. I'll try that tonight after work.

Well it is definitely not the cable. I switched it out and it had no effect at all. But when I switch the cable AND the driver to another pump, the problem shows up on the new pump. Any pump connected to the faulty driver stays on continuously and does not respond to any settings on the controller.

Here is my configuration:

4 - 6100 Streams
7094 Controller

The pumps are connected as follows:

Pump1: Channel 1, > position
Pump2: Channel 1, < position
Pump3: Channel 2, > position
Pump4: Channel 2, < position

They are placed in my aquarium as follows

Pump1 Pump2 Pump3 Pump4

The settings on the controller are as follows:

Channel 1 Min Power = 30 %
Channel 1 Miax Power = 100%
Channel 2 Min Power = 30%
Channel 2 Max Power = 100%

Pulse Knob Setting: Midway between off and Max
Interval Switch Setting: 1 to 7 Minutes (the lowest position)
Interval Knob Position: Minimum
Mode Switch Setting: >> << (the top most position)

I have been running the pumps this way for the last few years without any problem. Recently however, I moved the controller into a DIY holder. Seems like teh problem started then. Also, when I move the controller around, Pump #2 exhibits the same behavior! It stays on continuously. Can this happen as a result of the connectors on the controller being moved or pulled slightly?

I really want to get this fixed as soon as possible, but not sure what to do?

I would recommend sending in the pump in question and the 7094. If you cannot part with the controller we can try just the pump but the 7094 was quirky, alot like Windows, it would freeze up and crash if you plugged a pump in while it was powered up or changed programming while it was powered up. You generally wanted to set everything up and then plug in the pumps to the outlet. Our address is

Thanks for the quick response. Can I send in just the faulty driver module? I have a large set up and the cables from all the pumps are all bundled and routed under my cabinet. It would be much easier for me to remove the cover to the driver module, unplug the cable to the pump and send in the faulty driver module.

It will make for a longer delay as I will need to take it home with me and run the tests as I don't have any pumps running here or an aquarium. It isn't a big deal but it may take 3 days to complete the turnaround this way, if I have the pump it could probably be done in 1-2 days. I don't need the transformer or holder as we have those all set up.

3 days is fine for me since I have 3 other Streams in my tank that are operating correctly. I'll send you the driver tomorrow morning via FEDEX overnight.

Thank you for your assistance.
