problem with 7096 interval

Hi,

since some weeks the Tunze 7096 doesn't work as before. I have two 6105 pulsed in a 6 hours interval. But sometimes one pump is working 6 hours and the second only about three hours and so on.

Another strange thing is that one pump turned in nightmode all the day. Maybe once per week.

I have two different power supply, one 24V the second 18V.

Do somebody know this problem?

best regards
Michael

Is it possible the photocell is upside down or not getting light? This would activate night mode and stop the change between pumps.

no the moonlight and the night mode is working well.
But the important problem is more the interval which is not regular.

I tried different power supply's (24V and 18V) But still the same. Output 1&2 works about 6hours and 3&4 ~3hours

normaly the nightmode doesn't stop the change between the pumps?

Michael

Hi,

I will send a screenshot asap.

Yesterday I could hear that one pump stops sometimes (maybe 1x every 10min) but restart after some seconds. This pump runs only with 18V. With 24V it doesn't start everytime (most of the time it is flickering).

I could also see that when output 3&4 is on, the LED on output1 is glowing. (but the pump doesn't turn)

best regards

I think the problem is either the motor or power supply and not the controller because of the 18V/24V issue. Most likely it is the motor block, something is wrong which triggers a safety shut down at the higher voltage, it is not a safety problem, but the computer thinks so because of a fault, I have seen this before a few times. Occasionally the cause is the power supply but from the few times I have seen this problem, only one time did the power supply solve it. You could try the other pumps power supply to test this.

I changed now both power supplys, but still the same story.

When I only plug the controller the computer (without any pumps) the interval works fine. If I plug only one pump on 1 or 3 the interval doesn't work.

But it seems that in night mode the interval works and only on the day the interval is not equal. I have to test it.

There is still the LED on 1 which is lightly on, even the first pump is not activated

kind regards
Michael

Michael,

I have never seen this exact issue before, I am at a loss and would suggest if possible borrowing a friends controller, if the problem is the same, we know a pump or pumps is the cause, a motor is going into safety at 24V. If the problem is solved, it is the controller. You could also contact Tunze in Germany about sending for testing/repair.

Hi Roger,

I tried now the interval and set it to 5min

in day mode;
1&2 are 5min on
3&4 are 3min on

in night mode;
1&2 are 5min on
3&4 are 5min on

unfortunately I don't have the possibility do test another 7096 but a 7095
So I will contact Tunze Germany. tanks for your help

regards
Michael

Hi Quickmick,

I am currently having the same problem with interval timing as the one you listed above.

Did you ever get a satisfactory solution to the problem from Germany? At the moment, I can avoid the problem by not using Socket 4 and setting it to 0-0. The interval timings work correctly with both periods being equal when I turn off the socket on the controller. If say I set it to 30-100%, the timing on Channel 2 will be shortened to 50% of the time set. I am using V1.1.0.8 of the software. Note that this is also happening without connecting any pumps to the controller but just observing the LEDS. This is the 2nd unit I am trying that is giving this problem. Hope you can share the solution provided by Tunze to resolve the issue.

Thanks.
