Problem with ellegance coral surprise

I have a tiny aussie elegant frag that will never expand. It has been that way for a while. In the morning it is covered with what looks like spiderwebs and has little fuzzy white balls around the edgees of the skeleton. It is comming from the coral itsself and is nothing on it. Any ideas?

Elegance corals are really hard to keep. From what I understand they prefer less than pwerfect water conditions and in the wild are usually half buried in the mud and tipped at all sorts of random angles.

i have no luck on this elegance coral honestly. It is way too sensitive. You have to make sure the water parameter is in perfect condition, else it won't open in the next day.

What you're seeing is most likely mesenterial filaments. (Part of the corals digestive structures) They are often extruded when the coral is exposed to irritating substances, like chemicals from soft corals. I'd try a major water change, run some fresh carbon, and make sure there are no soft corals close, or upstream from the elegance.
